The working principle of LCD display mainly relies on electric current to stimulate liquid crystal molecules and backlight to realize image display. Liquid crystal display (LCD) consists of two parallel plates with liquid crystal material in the middle. The arrangement of liquid crystal molecules is changed by voltage, so as to achieve the effect of light shielding and light transmission, and then display images of different depths.
Polarized light: External light forms polarized light after passing through the upper polarizer, and the vibration direction of polarized light is consistent with the vibration direction of the upper polarizer.
Liquid crystal molecule arrangement: When no voltage is applied between the upper and lower electrodes, the liquid crystal molecules are arranged in parallel and have optical rotation. Polarized light is rotated 90° after passing through the liquid crystal material, can pass through the lower polarizer, and is reflected back by the reflector, and the display is transparent.
Voltage action: When a certain voltage is applied between the upper and lower electrodes, the liquid crystal molecules between the electrodes become vertically arranged and lose optical rotation. Polarized light cannot be reflected back through the lower polarizer, and the electrode part becomes black.
Display control: The electrodes can be made into various characters and graphics as needed to obtain the corresponding display.
